ONE Featherweight Christian Lee Plans To Make Martin Nguyen Desperate And Finish Him
Christian Lee has become one of the most dangerous fighters on the ONE Championship roster.
At the age of seventeen, he made his professional debut at ONE Championship: Spirit Of Champions in 2015 and demolished David Meak in 29 seconds.
After that spectacular performance, Lee ran the table and finished four more fights in the first round leading to a showdown with the already well-established Martin Nguyen.
The result was not in his favor and Lee walked out the cage with the first loss of his career.
While Nguyen went on to capture the ONE Championship featherweight and lightweight titles, Lee embarked on his own terror streak with four straight finishes over tough competition.
This impressive run that included the destruction of Kotetsu Boku and Kazunori Yokota earned him a rematch with the reigning featherweight king, Martin Nguyen, at ONE Championship: Unstoppable Dreams on May 18 in Singapore.
“I going to go in there and pick [Martin Nguyen] apart. And I’m going to make him desperate. He’s going to get under me and I’m going to finish him.”
In this interview, Christian Lee joins John Hyon Ko to talk about his fighting style allowing him to excel so quickly in his career, being in training camp with Angela Lee, his level of maturity as a fighter compared to his first encounter with Martin Nguyen and more.
