Bellator 199’s Janay Harding Hopes To Put On A Show By Striking With Amber Leibrock
Janay Harding is part of the Australian/New Zealand wave that is flooding the international MMA scene.
Following in the footsteps of Arlene Blencowe, Megan Anderson, and Jessica-Rose Clark, the Polynesian will take her talents to the next level by going stateside to compete.
The Australian Top Team featherweight recently signed with Bellator and will make her promotional debut on May 12 at its 199th event against Invicta FC veteran Amber Leibrock.
“I’m still going in as the underdog and I’ve been the underdog for like my last few fights and I’ll probably keep doing that for a long time no matter how many wins I have. But in that way, it doesn’t faze me because I’ve been there before. It’s all part of the game and I’m kind of getting used to proving people wrong.”
In this interview, John Hyon Ko caught up with Janay Harding to talk about Bellator being the best option to further her career, facing the best fighters in Australia, being eager to debut in America, hoping to stand with Amber Leibrock and more.
